I remember reading that TS Eliot was cripplingly shy. It's not a stretch to think that Taylor may be as well, despite this "Taylor Swift" role she plays on stage.

I wouldn't be shocked: Taylor Swift does generally try to avoid large events (the met ball, the grammy's this year!) as well as the press. Although she's also been criticized by those very same people more than Eliot has.

I don’t know that it contributes as much to decision delay as bad decision making and overconfidence in our habits: People mess up the Monty Hall problem because math doesn't feel intuitive and we’re more likely to stick with something we’ve chosen before, regardless of new (if confusing) information.
